We saw some pretty incredible churches today. Some by choice...others just walking around. My favorite was the San Giovanni in Laterno Church. Breathtaking.
It's the church used before St Peters by the Popes. So as you can imagine, it's over the top beautiful.
That was quickly followed by one of the earliest known churches in Rome, Santa Maria sopra Minerva. We then toured St Peters in Chain. The chains of St Peter are housed here as well as a sculpture of Moses done by Michelangelo.
And, of course, there was the obligatory Gelato. On the way back to the hotel, we ran into Santa Maria Aracoeli Church. After that, I lost count... But I'm pretty sure there were more, lol
Lunch with a view of the Coli, yes please. The places that fireman has seen.
