1st Day in Rome

Today we landed in Rome. Almost a surreal experience. Drove right pass the Coliseum on way to hotel. We dropped off our bags and headed out to beat jet lag. First up, Piazza Navonna for lunch. Pizza please? Why, yes. Nothing like a traditional pie in Italy

We then headed over to the Pantheon, how did they build this marvel. It's amazing inside.

That took us to Trevino Fountain and Spanish Steps. Tourist everywhere. And two very tired travelers, we headed back to the hotel for an early bed time. Neither of us slept well. We'll be up early to visit the Coli. Until then, getting some shut eye
