Week in Rewind

You know the saying, when the going gets tough, the tough get going. In a nut shell, that was our week.

First, Trojan, my baby girl, went down. Yes, she is a little neurotic at times. You know, with the non-stop barking and lust for all human food. It seems that her hard charging food ways got the best of her.  Perhaps a lesson for us all.  After a day of gluttingly, stomach issues led to two popped out anal glands. Or as Dada so eloquently said WHAT IN THE WORLD.   Yes, a vision that I never want to see again in my life time. I felt pain just looking.  But no worries, nothing that meds can't cure. Would you like a sedative to ease her pain.  Dada with a menacing look "yes please"

Next, Mama took a spell. After sleeping on the coach to soothe Trojan, the neck kinked up. And when I say kinked up, I'm talking a huge knot. After a day of the lovely smelling Ben Gay, Mama headed for a message and pure bliss.  Mama, turn her head again?  Yes, little guy mama turn her head  again.

But at last, the big punch in the gut was upon us.  The fridge ice maker broke and spewed water all day long through our new hardwood floors. Which, of course, led to warped floors the next day. As I write, a contraption of gadgets are dehumidifying, pulling water out and heating the floor boards. And might I mention, the noise. Oh the noise. It makes it hard to hear Trojan's ever so piercing bark.

And last, the little guy. A boy who knows what he wants when he sees it.  Dada say no more milk.  No problem, I'll just open the "messed up" fridge and gets me some. As in, Mama turned around to see a little boy drinking right from the milk box.  I have to say, he's got it right. Sometimes, you have to laugh off the adversity and just go with the flow. I mean, literally the flow. Who needs a cup Mama when we have a river running to the basement....
