Mask, I don't need no stinkin mask. Now give me my white commando suit and let's get this parade started.

October 30: Week in Rewind
Last week, we attempted to get in the Halloween mood. So we headed down to the movies to watch Hotel Transylavania. The little guy loved it...although I think primarily for the popcorn, which he munched on the whole time.
We then headed over to the mall...which luck would have it, was having a Lego demonstration. The boy was like a kid in a candy store. Look mommy...look mommy. It was pretty cool to see a Lego size Capitol Building.
Today, mommy heads to his school to watch the Halloween parade. I've already been warned..go early. And later this weekend, we'll have the big Halloween reveal...strike the theme music.

Week in Rewind: Oct 23
The little guy continues his quest to be a real life ninja, lol. I will say in the month that he has been back...the boy definitely has gotten better. And daddy better take note with their rough horsing...because I'm beginning to see a lot more power with those kicks. YiHaaaaaa!
Ladies, he has a round house kick that will blow your mind.
This week, mommy celebrated a birthday. I am thankful for the many well wishes and presents. I truly live a blessed life. Took a long walk with the pups during my lunch hour on a beautiful, warm day. Got a cute gift from the little guy who just couldn't wait to give it to me. (It was a vampire Pez...and let's just say he really enjoyed the candies, lol. As he proudly said, I picked it out all by myself. I bet you did, buddy).
Received plenty of calls throughout the day. Got a package with Buckeye candies and OSU tshirts, thank you Aunt Margie...someone loved the Buckeyes. And spent time with grandparents...who came over after a long day of their own. Pretty cool to watch the International Space Station fly over our heads on my birthday. Not a bad day, indeed.
The only sad part of the week is that the pool is now officially cold...boo!
A teaser for next week....what is white, lives on the dark side and marches to a pretty cool theme song.

Week in Rewind: Oct 16
So, the last few weeks have gone by in a millisecond. Last weekend, we made a trip to the grandparents. And someone had super fun.
Our Saturday started with a trip to the farm to see a real life combine in action. And someone was in his element. he sat intently watching the corn being swept up, picked and piled into the back. There were questions....tons of questions. But by the end, he was pushing the button to start the augers.
As far as mommy goes, it was her first ride since being a little girl. And back in those days...there were no luxury combines with music and graphic yield calculations.
That night we had our family outing to Pissanelos Pizza. We took up half the joint. It's always fun seeing everyone. We definitely miss them. And Z got a cool black cat and coloring books from Aunt Margie. He's been coloring in them all week...because he has a super special surprise gift for mommy's birthday....something tells me it has something to do with crayons. Thank you Aunt Margie
On Sunday we headed to Cedar Point. I have the need for speed...ok, not really....but Angie, Cam and Pop Pop sure did. The rest of stayed with the speedy twirls and not big drop rides...and yes, there were little kids on those rides, but we had fun. The little guy is really lucky because he has a big cous that looks out for him...at nearly 6 foot riding in the kid's jeep ride....which cracked us all up.
The next day we headed back east. A long ride...but the little guy did great. Crazy Bella not so much...she voiced her frustration the last half hour.
Nothing like family and country life to soothe the soul.

Week in Rewind: Oct 1
This was one fast week. It started last weekend when daddy ran the Dragon Race. 2nd in age group with a sub 6:30 pace, not too shabby.
We then headed over to the little guy's first kindergarten related birthday party. There was lots of kickball, pizza and cake. But most importantly, the little guy held is own in the new friends department.
We also made our way back to karate. Let's be honest, soccer and the little guy were not a very good match. A strange love affair of passion (to drink red Gatorade) and pain (running full force into the goal, obliterating it). So as with any bad relationship, we moved on. And I have to say, he looks quiet good in karate with his cat like reflexes. Just ask daddy when the little guy springs on him with no warning and screams "I'm a Ninja"....ok, I'm pretty sure that's not Korean, but it's a start.
We ended the week preparing for a hurricane, say what! So mommy cut the last of Great Grandmom's roses and brought a few inside. And what should emerge the next morning, a caterpillar that the little guy affectionly calls "snuggles". Snuggles is living pretty high on the hog by missing the 50 degree temps, pouring rain and wind...but as of now, a hurricane going out to sea. Hiiiigh Ya....
