This week, the little guy took in his first baseball game. It started well enough. Blue skies, perfect temperature, dollar dogs. The little guy wasn't interested in all of that...he was in it for the water ice. This little treat is quickly becoming his favorite. And when he saw it at the park, he wanted it. Which made taking pictures a little difficult.
Once we settled in for the game, someone had a ton of questions. They ranged from where is first base to look at the big tv screen. Oh yes, the little guy has rock star written all over him. The only little glip was the hour rain delayed...which seemed so much longer. Luckily, we headed for cover before the masses and had a nice little place close to home plate.
Speaking of baseball, we had our last tball game on Wednesday. We're going to miss that team. Great kids and parents. As for the little guy, he nailed the ball twice with two big swings. It's amazing how far he has come. He now can throw, hit and somewhat field. And most importantly, he has love for the game. When we received his trophy, there was a huge smile. He couldn't wait to bring it to school to show everyone. Makes a mama proud.
