While Dada and the little guy grocery shop, Mama bought herself some alone time (holler)
This week saw the little guy get his flu shop. Or as the little guy liked to say boo boo on the arm. Much like last year he left with a tough guy band aid in all of its neon yellow glory.
Trojan continued her water therapy. While Mattie made herself at home at the complex. Trojan: why does she get to have fun while I struggle to look good on a water treadmill.
The little guys pictures have arrived and await our pick up. Mama is super excited. Ladies, the little guy will be signing his mug shot at the local mall on Saturday
Someone has made great progress with potty. And as he watched the pups going outside, promptly marched out to join them. Pants half way down when Mama connected what he was about to do. That's my boy....

Curious Larry
The little guy has always been a little unsure of my uncle Larry, with his wheel chair. It started with a cool look upon first meeting. Eventually it mellowed into eye contact. But this visit we had a major breakthrough. Someone wanted to push the wheel chair and even offered to sit on his lap.
I really love to see how he interacts with my uncles. Polio may have taken his legs but not his heart. As for Uncle Dick, many lessons to learn by what is meant by true love

Week in Rewind
This week saw the return of the inlaws and pure bliss for the little guy.
Today we headed over to the local turkey trot where Dada ran while we walked. Someone took first place in the dog category. You know it

Post Turkey Day Recovery
After a big turkey day, it was time to turn the attention to Xmas prep. The little guy really got into putting ornaments on the tree. Which, consequently, meant the tree was overweighted a tad on the bottom side
Happy Turkey Day
We had a great day on turkey day with the family. Everyone offered a helping hand. And the little guy, for his part, was very happy. He put on quiet a performance singing, dancing and generally being his jovial self.

Week in Rewind
A pretty quiet week in this household
Trojan officially is going the physical therapy route instead of surgery. Fingers crossed
Mattie promptly took over a new bed bought for Trojan, and quickly made it her own.
And the little guy, well he's a boy in motion. He can't wait for the Inlaws to come for turkey day
Speaking of Thanksgiving, daycare should really not allow an engineer and accountant do their son's turkey feather. It was not a good scene to say the least. And yet there it hangs prominently on the hall wall with his name in the middle of it. Perhaps highlighting his name in brown and yellow was a bad idea. Note to self, next year less glitz and more glamour

Week in Rewind
It's was one of those weeks in our household. Dada went to Arizona on a business trip. Trojan tore her ACL and was miserable most of the week. And Mama and the little guy fought the cold that wouldn't go away. But as they say, life goes on.
And this week brought the realization that the little guy is pretty smart. These days he repeats everything that you say. I said, I said repeats everything that you say. And now he is starting to put sentences together like these personal gems:
Mama is potting.
Trojan go poppy.
Z wants candy
What's that noise
See you later
Choo Choo go home to bed
But yesterday, the little guy brought it to a new level. His bike was parked and he looked over and said "my bike on the grass". So now he's starting to see, comprehend and vocalize. And with that came the realization that the little guy has been taking it in all this time and is now invited to the party. Watch out world. Mr. Handsome is armed and dangerous

Fight on!
Ok, time to get down to business. It's been a rough week, what with the storms, lack of sleep and the coming out of the terrible twos with the little guy. But you know what, we should be in a bad mood. A terrible loss to Arizona. And the arrogant Oregon Ducks coming into town.
But we Trojans are a resilient bunch. And as the little guy likes to say "Fight On Michael!"
So we're ready to squash the ducks. To warm up, the little guy found an innocent little caterpillar and before Mma could yell "Noooo", down came the foot. Mama likes the exuberance just not on a tiny little creature, but remember we're an angry bunch right now (so well give him this one). Like the attitude buddy just go duck hunting instead....
So as we hunker down tonight to watch our favorite team, well fight like Trojans. The little guy will be running around screaming Fight On. Mama will be pulling out her hair. And dada will be chilling with a beer. That's how we roll in this household.
