One Last Pool Plunge

Week in Rewind

This week saw the return of Flash Lightning, better known as Dada. He finished 5th overall on Saturday with the Dragon Run. You rock Dada. As for the little guy, he walked the mile with Mama. And by walk, I mean pimped his ride with the jogging stroller.

This week we spent finalizing the little guy's photo session. Which meant the quest for the cutest darn outfit available.  After much searching and a trip to the mall, the little guy transformed to model status.  Work, work it baby.  Work, work it baby.

With much sadness, this week also saw the closure of the pool. But not before one more foot dip. Cold Mama. As the little guy said, bye bye pool. Until next spring...

Gangum Style

So we've been a little deficient with the weekly rewinds. But we're back baby in a big way:  Gangum Style. Yeah, I said it the latest rage to hit US teens, a Korean tech song. Oh yeah baby, it's on. And who better to rock it than the little guy

Where to begin. The little guy totally has healed from his surgery. Better than ever ladies.

Someone is learning to sing his ABCs.

The handsome lad had a really awesome hair cut and sat through most of it without crying. Cookies are the way to this man's heart. More please mama

We've implemented the Poop for Twizzler's movement.  We aren't above bribery to get the little guy to do his business on the throne.  I'm patenting that phrase for a tshirt.

Someone has learned to climb up the slide. You can't stop me mama.

And finally, the little guy actually asked and ate peas for dinner. Hooray for veggies. On the bad side, someone had green poop for days. Twizzler's anyone?

Trojan Alarm

It seems that while we were away that someone set off the house alarm. A quick ride home revealed that you know who set it off. Really?

Strike Up The Band Mistro

Week in rewind.

Pretty uneventful week in this household. Beautiful weather brought long nights at the park. The little guy, for his part, has fallen in love with the playground. Mr Ring Leader found a new 2year old girl friend who followed him all around. Pretty cute to watch him turn back while running to make sure she was still following. Pretty Beatle like, no

Someone has also learned to say part of his name. And most importantly where he lives. Imagine him saying Jersey with a little kid's attitude. Love it.

Mama attempted to introduce peas to the little guy. All seemed to be going well until a famous phrase occurred, what is it. Which promptly lead to a dumping of peas from his mouth.  Classy huh.

Tomorrow we play The Farm.  They have beaten us the last three times  unacceptable  The big dog is back and wants his bone. As the little guy says Fight On Uncle Michael.

Headed Home.

We had a great trip to NY. Expensive yes, but a great life experience. It's the little things in life

It started with a crying little boy and two brave women. We weren't worried because they are very seasoned. The question became who would break first. My bet was Trojan

We arrived to the activity of Penn Station and not knowing how to get out of the darn place. But we managed and decided to walk to the hotel. And through the excitement of Times Square. Ladies, sorry to say, but no we did not see the guitar playing cowboy in his undies. An epic failure on our part for sure

Spent the evening with Uncle Michael, Aunt Jaime and Russ. No fried chicken after labor day, say what. Do you know what good nature ribbing gets you for not having said chicken, complimentary dessert. Holler!

Saturday brought game day. Pretty neat to come down the subway steps to a sea of Cardinal N Gold. We navigated through a train and bus ride, but darn it, we made it. Loud and proud decked out in our Trojan gear

Say are those storm clouds. Actually we knew there was a tornado watch for the entire game but that didnt stop our insanity. An hour long severe thunderstorm, however, did. We bunkered down near the men's restroom. You can never be too safe during a Tornado watch. Uncle Michael, on the other hand, spent his time a little differently an air conditioned club room serving beverages. Say what...

Rain, rain and more rain was our return trip. But that doesn't stop us Trojans. We laugh at the stuff and proudly walk our mile and half in search of good old NY pizza near the hotel. Yummy

Which brings us to our favorite moment. The train ride home. Pop Pop found a new friend to sit with. Let's just say someone needed a bath and it wasn't us. No worries, we Trojans stick together. We quickly secured 3 new seats and left with a new friend request on Facebook

So son many lessons here. Have life experience (especially with friends and family), never let a little Tornado warning get in your way of an SC game, be loud and proud in your SC gear (your in good company) and most importantly never EVER sit next to a smelly man on the train. By the way were pretty sure there's an entrance to Penn Station by Madison Garden, but we never found it. Instead, we walked down a block and then promptly circled back underground The moral: Sometimes it's better to take the long way for the ride. Fight On!

Nice Dinner Out

All Aboard

Headed up to NY this morning for the game. It's always something when you hit street level with people everywhere

Headed to dinner in a few hours with Uncle Michael and Aunt Jaime.

The little guy seems to be doing fine so far. One giant hug and a few cries when we left. Hopefully he's settled in
