Week in Rewind: July 25

This week we made our first trip to a movie theater.  And the little guy loved it. Sure, there were a couple of moments of bouncy movement, but for the most part, he sat and watched.  There were also the hundreds of questions, but we cured that with popcorn.  Which, got me to thinking. Ladies, the boy has star potential written all over him.

He's starting to show more karate coordination and has a pretty powerful punch.  Ladies, dare I say, action adventure star.

He also has his sensitive side ladies. He hands out kisses with the best of them.

And don't get me started on his flair for the dramatic. I mean, those fake screams and cries, surely are Oscar worthy.

He dresses the part. Last night, he came down in a fashionable TIGHT, plaid pair of shorts. It's called retro look, Mommy

And the hair, the hair. It never looks messed up. How does he do it!?

He's demanding like a major star. Mommy, I said OJ not milk.

He has adoring fans. Getting him out of school is a love fest, filled with hugs and goodbyes.

As mentioned previously, he wants a shore house in the middle of Ohio, with no windows. Location, location, location, Mommy.

Yep, the boy is ready for prime time. Mommy, where are all of the chickaroos????

Week in Rewind: July 18

The beach was calling us. And thanks to a super cool friend, we were invited down to Ocean City for a day of fun.  The little guy was super excited. We found a nice spot on the beach and settled in. (Who knew how much work it is to get all of that beach stuff to the actual beach). The little guy was a man in motion and zoomed his dump truck all over the place. And yes, this year he loved the waves. He giggled with delight which each crashing wave. Lets just say that he got his fill of sand and salt water

After a good beach time, we headed to the boardwalk and a favorite pizza joint.  Manco and Manco. Their pizza is to die for...the little guy gobbled down to slices.

The best part, the weather called for strong storms all afternoon. But the day was beautiful. The rain held off until we were safely home.

Ok...someone has made a home within a home. We bought a new dishwasher and while we were busy installing it, someone grabbed the oversize box.  When questioned, he initially said it was his new house. Wisely, at bedtime, that new house became Teddy's new house. It come complete with a pillow, blanket, superman toy and several matchbox cars.  If anyone has interest in a spectacular new house, just let me know.

Week in Rewind: July 12

I'm not sure what happened to last week's post. So, here's a brief post about that week's trip to Ohio. There was the celebration of two birthdays. My mom turned 6 (according to the little guy) and he turned 4. Someone was inundated with toys and clothes!  Thank you everyone.

We also did a quick trip to Cedar Point. I think we have a thrill seeker. More, Mommy More!

There was pizza at the old steadfast. The boy is quickly becoming a veteran. We devoured the cheese pizza. Yummy.

Had a good time running the country road near my Grandpa's fields. The little guy learned all about winter wheat.

And we enjoyed lots of family. The reason we always come back....and the reason it's so hard to leave

We got off to a slow start this morning. Daddy and mommy went for a bike ride. The little guy watched Frozen, sort of. And the next then you knew, it was the afternoon

But boy did we make up for lost time. A visit to Aunt Leta's. Where the little guy found that pink hat...and a few cookies.

We then headed to Aunt Margie and Uncle Dale. They weren't home, but we left them with a surprise to let them know we were there

Our mischief wasn't finished with a visit to the park. Someone (daddy) made nice work of the tyke size teater-toters. Grandma, on the other hand, got her swing on the pint size swings. The little guy galloped away on a swing that mommy played with.

After all that work, we headed to the local pizza joint. And yes, daddy even partook Sorry folks, we were like hawks when the cheese pizza came out.

Happy 4th Birthday

This little guy turned four today. We got up early to head to Ohio to celebrate. By the time we arrived, someone was bouncing off the walls.

Can we open my presents? Can we open my presents? He even graciously offered to help carry them in the house. Who could blame him after sitting 8 hours in close proximity.

The wait did not disappoint. He energetically ripped through them and with each present, a new rounds of Whoos

But by far the best moment occurred with his new fishing pole. Daddy proudly proclaimed "you need to learn to cast like this". Off the line went, high in the air, and straight into a tree. This was promptly followed with daddy spending the next hour retrieving.

Happy Birthday to my baby boy. A boy who is growing up much too fast!
