We Ready

This week saw the return of SC football.  And someone just received his MB7 jersey.  Rock star.

Mom Mom and Great Grandmom will be watching the little guy next weekend so that we can go to the game in NY.  This will be our first time separated from him, which is a little scary.  But he's in awesome hands.

The little guy had another hair cut last week. I love to say to him, who's handsome. To which he replies, I am Mama. Priceless. Something tells me we have a lady killer on our hands.

The little guy has made a nice recovery from his surgery.  Can't way a good man down for long. He's up to hopping everywhere again. I've got some mean hops Mama

And last but not least, the little guy has perfected saying Fight On!

IPad Hogger

Tough time after bath time. The little guy's bandages officially came off. Yikes that was awful. Now that he is settled in, it quickly became IPAD time. Love watching him learn with it. And quiet frankly it's the only thing that keeps him still. Here's hoping the little guy heals quickly, or we might have to buy more learning apps

This morning, while walking in the park, we met another family who adopted 2 boys from Korea with another on the way. The boys are 4 and 2 years of age. So we can't wait to meet up with them for a play date. Really happy about this development

Mischievous Boy

Week in Rewind

It's been a tough week for the little guy. On Wednesday, he had a minor surgery to fix a guy thing. The surgery was a success, but it's been a little tough going every since.  Luckily, this kid has incredible bounce and has done a great job of landing on his feet.  Code, he's acting more like himself  every moment.

Here he is after a quick turn around by Mama. Someone found a book cover and decided to own it.  Do we have a future artist on our hand...

Speaking of skills, the litle guy has taken his down time to really grasp the IPAD.  And I mean, really grasp it.  Scary skills.  And we routinely hear, I want it.  To which we reply, please. I mean, we cant rise a prima donna making unrealistic demands on he world.  Maybe our little boy will take that artistic side and a little of those prima donna skills and become the next Steve Jobs.   Holla!

One Year Anniversary

It's hard to imagine but tomorrow marks the one year anniversary of officially getting the little guy.  Wow!  Where did that time go.  And how much better is our lives because of it.  Seems like yesterday that we landed in Seoul, on an adventure of a life time.  I still remember when that door finally opened and in ran the little guy.  My heart pounding at the site of you.

Top10 things that we love about you right now:

1.  Those beautiful brown eyes that twinkle when you smile
2.  The squeal of your laughter melts my heart
3.  That cute little voice.  Mama, I get it
4.   Your inquisitive nature that loves to figure things out
5.  Mr. Independent that wants to do things himself
6.  The way you run to greet us
7.  Mr clean, Mr clean
8.  Those big feet and hands.
9.  The way you hop around the house
10. Tickle, tickle time at bedtime

My little silly goose.  We love you very, very much.  We feel so blessed to have you in our lives.
Remember, Mama and Dada will always be there for you.  Happy one year anniversary.

Week in Rewind

This past week we headed down to the Outer Banks for vacation with Mike's family.  We all had a blast.  There were early morning bike rides.  Play time with the cousins. And, of course, the beach.

Monday, started with a trip to the beach.  And a little guy not quiet sure what to make of it.  Luckily, there was Kadi to show him how to play with the sand.  Pop Pop did his part in introducing him to the ocean with much trepidation from the little guy.  What in the world, Mama.

Tuesday brought lots of rain.  Unfortunately for the little guy this led to a shopping trip.  He may not have liked all of the shopping, but someone made out with a school bus with a surf board on top.  Super Awesome.

Wednesday started with a long bike ride with Mama and Dada.  And playtime with Mom Mom where she made a blanket tent.  So cool.  Even cooler, Great Grandmom put up with screaming little guy most of the night.  And yes, this is believed to be the official day that Dada fell off the healthy wagon.  Dinner out will do that....

On Thursday, Aunt Chris, Cousin Nick and Ben, and Alina arrived.  Great Grndmom prepared an awesome pork tenderloin dinner.  And the little guy fell in love with her potatoes.  Such an amazing and elegant person.  We ended the night with bubble time.  And squeals of delight from the little guy.

Friday brought our last full day.  We started with a long bike ride.  Ummy breakfast.  And beach time, all before lunch!  Someone got much braver with the ocean and became a certified beach goer.

This week was a lot of fun for all.  Unfortunately, it went so fast.  Sure there were the toddler moments but for the most part, the little guy was a happy litle camper.  I for one hated to see it end
